Shield Rising is a popular game among high schoolers. Recently published and in beta testing, players all across the globe compete. But one day, all the players are sucked into the game! If you die in the game, you die in real life.

Project X is an action-adventure visual novel about the fate of the world resting on your shoulders with three potential routes. Once a terrible incident occurs, Shield Rising players are trapped inside the game. The developer has kidnapped a select five hundred and connected their brains to Shield Rising. Every player must participate in the killing game, or else. 

Either kill or be killed is the developer's moral code, but Kira doesn't see things the same way. At least until she is in a do-or-die situation herself. While holding onto her humanity and killer instinct, Kira must figure out a way to escape. She must find out how to win Shield Rising with as less casualties as possible and how to put a stop to the killing game forever.

**WEB VERSION INSTRUCTIONS: Though downloading the game is preferred, for those who play the web version, I highly recommend reloading the page at least twice for smoother gameplay. The music also has a slight delay compared to the downloadable version of Project X, so don't click too fast because you might not hear it. To exit out of a menu, use the escape key or right-click. To save your place in the game, click the three bars and export it. To access this save later, click the three bars again and import the downloaded file. And lastly, click the icon in the bottom right corner to enter fullscreen mode. Sound doesn't work on mobile , so either desktop or laptop is recommended.
